This place is Splendide indeed! We loved every little thing about it. After days of hiking, we almost wept to encounter this gorgeous hotel. The views! Beyond spectacular. The hotel's location was perfect, as it was close to the bus stop and within walking distance to the center of Champex-Lac. We had a tasty pork dinner at the restaurant, and the room was comfortable and tastefully furnished. the bathroom had a bathtub which we appreciated. the staff was welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast provided was very good. We also enjoyed the view from our balcony, overlooking the beautiful mountains.
Some needy folks might find the hotel a bit dated, but to us, it added to its charm.

Marvelous escape from the trail in a beautiful resort town. Lovely family owns and runs the hotel, including dinner, breakfast, and bar service. Historic and comfortable by modern standards. Marvelous escape from the trail. I stayed at a beautiful hotel in a charming resort town. The family who owns and runs the hotel was incredibly warm and welcoming. They worked long hours to ensure a comfortable stay for the guests. The hotel itself was a perfect blend of history and modern comfort. It was conveniently located at the beginning of the trail, making it a marvelous escape for tired hikers like me. I highly recommend this hotel.
